Harvard GSD appoints Jamie Blosser as Loeb Fellowship curator
Harvard GSD has appointed Jamie Blosser as the next curator of the Loeb Fellowship. Blosser is an alum of the fellowship from the 2014-2015 academic year.
The previous curator, John Peterson, stepped down from the role of curator after nearly a decade in the position in 2024, AN previously reported.
Blosser will guide the fellowship’s direction as it enters its sixth decade. This will entail the recruitment of fellows and strengthening connections across Harvard.
The Loeb Fellowship recruits mid-career professionals whose work advances the natural and built environment spanning architects, civic leaders, and journalists.
Fellows embark on a ten-month residency at Harvard, where they step away from their professional lives to embed themselves in the GSD community with the goal to reflect and learn about their impact.
“I am thrilled to lead this remarkable program,” Blosser said in a statement, “The Loeb Fellowship aligns deeply with my values and lifelong work at the intersection of architecture, community development, and the arts, with a goal toward more inclusive and resilient communities.”
Blosser has been director and CEO of the Midtown Arts and Design Alliance (MADA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, since 2019, previously having served as the Sante Fe Art Institute’s executive director between 2015-2024. (MADA is currently partnering with MASS on a campus masterplan.) She has also led affordable housing preservation efforts of American Indian communities in northern New Mexico.
“She’s a licensed architect and has mobilized coalitions that bridge design, the arts, and the public good. Her remarkable breadth is exactly what is needed to lead the Loeb Fellowship into its next chapter,” said Sarah M. Whiting, dean and Josep Lluís Sert Professor of Architecture at the GSD.
The 2027-2028 Loeb fellows will be announced May of this year.
