Classification of the “Saudi Council of Engineers” for the types of engineering classes

The Saudi Council of Engineers developed a draft of the regulations governing the classification of engineering offices and individuals, for approval by higher authorities.

The classification project includes individuals and is known as “professional accreditation”.

The project classifies all engineers in Saudi Arabia into four categories: “Engineer, Associate Engineer, Professional Engineer, and Consultant Engineer”.

These categories are currently adopted as a classification for all engineers working in Saudi Arabia.

  • Types of engineers in projects

Architect

He is the person who forms the void in which we all live, and he is the one whose thoughts interfere in the life of every person on earth.

We hardly leave a building designed by an architect except to enter another building designed by another architect.

The architect is the one who forms the void of buildings from the inside and their shape from the outside, and identifies,

draws and directs the movement of people in them and the movement of the users of these buildings.

The experience and competence of an architect designing any project is directly reflected in the human and humanitarian societies.

The architect is the one who creates the civilization of peoples,

its advancement and its civilization because when an individual visits any country for the first time in his life,

he directly judges the civilization of this country or its backwardness in the form,

and coordination of its buildings and streets before he deals with its people or even speaks one word with any of the Its citizens.

Structural Engineer

A structural engineer is the one who analyzes, designs, plans and searches the structural elements and systems

to achieve the design objectives and ensure the safety and comfort of the design users or residents.

Its work should take into account mainly safety, technical, economic and environmental considerations,

but it must also take into account aesthetic and social factors.

Structural engineering is usually a specialized branch of civil engineering, but it can also be studied on its own.

Some countries give a separate license to structural engineers,

which is required to design private or high-risk facilities, such as: schools, hospitals or skyscrapers.

Typical facilities designed by a structural engineer include buildings, towers, stadiums,

and bridges, as well as other facilities, such as: oil platforms, satellites, aircraft, and ships.

Most structural engineers work in the construction industry,

but there are structural engineers who work in the aerospace, automotive, and shipbuilding industries.  In the construction industry,

they work directly with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, quantity surveyors, and construction managers.

Structural engineers construct buildings and bridges so that they are strong and stable enough to withstand all expected construction loads

(such as: gravity, wind, snow, rain, earthquakes, earthquakes, soil pressure, temperature, and traffic) to prevent or reduce loss of life or injury.

Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineering is a discipline that studies the applications of electrical sciences, electronics, and electromagnetic fields.

Electrical engineering deals with the study and design of many different electrical and electronic systems,

such as electrical circuits, generators, motors, transformers, UPS, magnetic materials and other electromagnetic and electromechanical devices.

The nature of the work of electrical engineers is characterized as being of great diversity,

as it includes work on various projects such as computers, robots, cell phones, radars, navigation systems, wires, lighting in buildings, and other types of electrical systems.

Electrical engineers work on developing and maintaining systems using Computer Design (CAD) systems to draw electrical diagrams and circuits,

in addition to using computers to simulate how electrical devices and systems work.

The electrical engineer also evaluates the work of electrical systems and devices, examines them and creates electrical products according to consumers’ desires.

The broad nature of electrical engineers’ work allows multiple jobs in many industrial fields, such as: aerospace,

automotive, chemicals, construction, defense, electronics, consumer goods, marine, materials and minerals,

oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, power generation, railways, communications, utilities,

He can also work in companies, non-profit organizations, or government agencies, and an electrical engineer can assume administrative positions,

work as a specialized professor, or in the field of patents, or join the financial sector.

Mechanical engineer

A mechanical engineer is one who builds motors and designs power stations.

The field of mechanical engineering requires an understanding of fundamental areas including:

mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity.

Mechanical engineers use the tools of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and product life cycle management,

to undertake design and analysis of manufacturing sites, equipment, industrial machinery, heating and cooling systems,

transportation systems, aircraft, boats, robots, medical devices, weapons, and more.

Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering concerned with the design, manufacture, operation, and development of machines or devices used in various sectors of economic activities.

He is particularly interested in forces and motion, a science that studies energy in all its forms and its effect on bodies.

It is a wide specialty related to all areas of life.

Mechanical engineering relates to the aerospace, aerospace, production,

energy conversion, building mechanics, transportation, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, and informational modeling and simulation.
