NEW ARMANI CASA PRODUCTS TOGETHER WITH ICONIC ONES
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2022, Giorgio Armani presents the new Casa Collection at the brutalist Armani Silos museum. The show celebrates the brand’s interior design division by putting together classic Casa pieces with new items.
‘In recent years, I have focused on the essential aspects of my style lexicon. In design, as in fashion, I feel the need to reaffirm the founding elements that define the Armani style,’ Giorgio Armani said. ‘This exhibition, devised to mark the return of the Salone del Mobile in attendance, is a way of traversing my aesthetics in its salient aspects, highlighting connections, suggestions and references. For the first time, I am using the spaces of the Silos to create an exhibition that offers an immersive and emotional experience in the Armani/Casa world.’
EIGHT DIFFERENT SPACES SHOWCASING THE BRAND’S INSPIRATION
The immersive Armani Casa exhibition welcomes visitors through eight different spaces showcasing the subjects that inspire the pieces. From China to Japan, to the Art Deco era and the 30s, finishing with the natural world including animals and the oceans, the dimly lit exhibition is a testimony to what Armani is all about: research, materials, and visual sensations.
Products presented include the iconic Antoinette dressing table and the Morfeo suspended bed, as well as the Club Bar Cabinet, the Onda chaise-lounge, and the Pascal armchair. New pieces include the Suite mute servant, and a small container with folding wooden doors shaped with solid Paulownia wood. The collection also rethinks objects and their use. Such is the case of the leather plaid holder Scarlett which features a should strap and metal hooks for canisters. Or the Sambuco steel thermos that highlights its textured surface.
The furniture is Made in Italy, where the Armani group collaborates with a network of artisans.
