The Weeknd Sells Full-Floor LA Penthouse for $19 Million

After over a year-and-a-half with no takers, The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has finally offloaded his 8,215-square-foot penthouse in the luxe Beverly West building, according to The Real Deal.
The Grammy winner first listed the Westwood residence in Los Angeles for $22.5 million in January of 2022. But even after one known price drop to $19.75 million, the Canadian-born entertainer was still only able to secure $19 million for the massive pad, which he scooped up for $21 million back in 2019. But the musician is probably doing just fine, since, as far as is known, he’s still primarily nestled in the gargantuan 33,000-square-foot Bel Air mansion he bought in 2021 for $70 million.
The Weeknd’s former digs occupies the entirety of the exclusive building’s 18th floor, with four bedrooms and six bathrooms scattered throughout the spread. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the space, letting in lots of sunlight and allowing for a plethora of striking views from downtown LA to the Pacific Ocean and the Hollywood Hills. The condo was made for hosting: the entertaining area is an open plan space that faces the gorgeous views.
The abode comes complete with several lounge areas, a wall-to-wall wine cellar, two balconies, and a huge bar area highlighted by an extra-large waterfall countertop island made of black-and-white marble. Wood-paneled walls are featured in the great room, the primary bedroom, and a small section of the ensuite bathroom, which hosts a soaking tub overlooking the Los Angeles Country Club. The rest of the bathroom boasts floors and walls covered in dark marble as well as a separate shower and toilet booths.
Angel Salvador of The Beverly Hills Estates held the listing.
