with a unique suspension system, the bruder EXP-8 effortlessly conquers any off-grid land
Bruder launches EXP-8: the ultimate off-road & off-grid trailer
Described as the ultimate off-road and off-grid camper trailer, the Bruder EXP-8 flagship takes riding adventures to new heights. With its patented suspension system, robust tires, and lightweight, weatherproof frame, the boxy and towable vehicle effortlessly rolls over extreme terrains and withstands harsh climates across all seasons without compromising comfort. ‘Tough and capable on the outside, luxurious and sophisticated on the inside, the all-new Bruder EXP-8 sets a new standard for the ultimate in adventure travel,’ writes Bruder. The Australian brand priced the EXP-8 at about USD 203,000 and made it globally available for sale.

highly customizable suspension system + weatherproof body
Bruder (see more here) designed the patented EXP-8 suspension system with 12 inches of wheel travel, nearly three times more usable than any dual axle off-road caravan. With such advanced features, users can adjust the trailer’s height ‘to suit different tow vehicles and level out on virtually any sloping camp spot.’ Moreover, in forested settings, and with the push of a button, the suspension can lower or lean the body away from overhanging tree branches. Complementing the suspension system are tires up to 37 inches tall that can easily roll over undulating, corrugated, or soft boggy grounds.
conquering any kind of terrain
Besides adjustability, the trailer also boasts a state-of-the-art body architecture made from a closed-cell quad woven epoxy bonded composite — resulting in a lightweight but incredibly sturdy structure with great insulation values. ‘From over 50 degrees celsius to below -20 degrees, icy conditions, and altitudes over 10 000 feet, it’s purpose-built to handle all environments in complete luxury,’ notes the brand. Bruder also sealed off the chassis to avoid debris getting trapped within and mounted a filtration unit onto the trailer to the interior pressurized during dusty travel conditions.
an off-grid self-sustainable unit for soloists or families
Power-wise, the EXP-8 features 1,600 watts of solar, a 48-volt system, a 16.7 kWh battery, and a 5,000W inverter. Moreover, a phone-compatible touchpad also allows users to control and monitor the living space system on-site and remotely. A truly self-sustainable mobile unit, the trailer includes a remote water pickup system to pump water from local streams or fill its 300-400-liter tank.
As for the overall spatial layout, Bruder infused it with practicality and comfort by fitting the trailer with generous openings that connect to the outdoors, plenty of exterior storage, and a clever indoor organizational system. Whether occupied by one traveler, a couple, or a family, the interiors can convert into multiple layouts to accommodate different types of users.
