u-boat worx nexus submarine seats 9 people and travels up to 200 meters deep into the sea
An immersive experience
An immersive aquatic experience in an entirely transparent elliptical pressure hull describes the U-Boat Worx NEXUS Submarine, a getaway ride from the land into the depth of the sea. The NEXUS submersibles have a spacious internal capacity per occupant as part of what it dubs ‘a highly luxury environment.’ Comfort, ease of embarkation, and a live sea view mark the offerings of the submarine series which has a depth rate of 200 meters and two different hull sizes resulting in seating up to 9 people.
‘With first-class performance, U-Boat Worx’s trademark revolving seating configuration, and a wealth of experience in commercial and private multi-passenger submarine operations, NEXUS provides a sense of otherworldliness to those seeking the most undisturbed perspective,’ the brand believes.

Features and offers
In its standard configuration, the NEXUS provides 900-914 liters of interior capacity per adult. On both sides of the pilot, three luxury full-size business-class seats for adults are available while the pilot has a fixed seat in the submarine’s center. This full-size seat for a guest, scientist, or expedition leader may easily be changed into a comfy bench that sits two children aged 12 and higher.
The NEXUS 8 would be able to accommodate 1 pilot, 6 adults, and 2 children, for a total of 9 passengers. The customizable seat gives passengers a lot of options when it comes to mission profiles. ‘There will be no compromises made in terms of safety equipment, life support, or endurance and comfort,’ the brand promises.
From a visual standpoint, the NEXUS provides the most immersive diving experience available. Because there are no top- or side-floaters on the exterior design, the inside viewing glass is unhindered. At all times, all occupants have a clear line of sight in all directions. The elliptical pressure hull is made up of three parts that are joined together to provide a single, uninterrupted viewport. U-Boat Worx chose an ideal thickness transition between the pieces to reduce distortion and potential discomfort.

Stepping into another world
‘Another major design achievement is the NEXUS’ ability to move in any direction. This was proven time and again as a must-have capability in the Cruise Sub series. So, in addition to basic maneuvers, such as forward, reverse, up and down movements, the submersible can also move laterally. Lateral movements greatly optimize the submersible’s object approach and dive efficiency, therefore enhancing passengers’ view and giving the pilot greater freedom to explore,’ the brand states.
U-Boat Worx thinks that diving in a submarine equates to entering another world. ‘When going through the process of selecting the best possible craft for this space travel, the relevant characteristics you need to take into account cannot be easily referenced to the selection process of yachts, aircraft, or anything else for that matter,’ the brand shares. With the submersibles, navigating one’s way into the breadth of the sea becomes a possibility.
