It all startet in 2020. A carpenter from the beautiful southwestcoast of Norway had a vision, together with his wife. They own parts of Ogna already, a ready they have changed to a popular cabin area for people from far and near. They hired Manuela Hardy to design some new cabins, and later on also for their new attraction: Trekronaa.

They wanted to build some treehouses, without really touching the trees, but being amongst the trees in the woods of Ogna.
Manuela designed the buildings like they where lifted from the ground, making the lower, 6th facade visible. They should be a friend of nature and not interfere with the terrain, rather be lifted from the ground, so they easily could be removed it needed.

The cabins should contain all you need in a small house: a kitchen, a place to sleep, eat and clean yourself. The size is approx 15 square meters. 4-5 people can sleep inside, even eat on a place built bench, overlooking the woods with a glimpse of the sea.
The cabins are build of wood, the cladding is Accoya.

The form reminds us of a modern treehouse, with no limits, it could be a Childs sketch, it is the architects childhood dream of a treehouse with a hotel-feeling. The walls an ceiling inside are covered with beautiful oak. The small place is designet functional, yet a pleasure for the eyes.

It communicates with the wood. The floor and windows are green, all of the details inside thoughtfully picked out, preferably from local businesses, also handcrafted. The cabins are warmly welcomed by visitors. It works like a retreat, there is also a sauna/spa area, also designed by Hardy..
