tommy money breaks the web with bread-roll couch for IKEA
the tommy cash ‘loafa’ collaboration takes over the internet
estonian rapper tommy cash (TOMM¥ €A$H) is no stranger to out-of-the-box collaborations. take his 2021 project with adidas: the pair revealed an absurdly elongated version of the adidas superstar originals that made all kinds of headlines. today, keeping up with his penchant for the extravagant, cash reveals the bread-loaf-inspired LOAFA sofa and rug designed by artist gab bois for IKEA.

looking like a hyper-real composition of glazed bread rolls, tommy cash’s LOAFA has already taken social media by storm after the rapper shared picturs of it on his account, writing: ‘so IKEA told me if we get 10000 comments under this post they will release the loafa! lets show them that we need this foreal!!‘ so far, the post has reached over 10.9 k comments, and the internet is still waiting for IKEA’s response.

a nod to mario bellini’s 1970 ‘camaleonda’ sofa
the pictures show him sitting and lying on the sofa, sporting his ‘loaf-ers’ shoes designed for maison margiela. he even shares a detailed shot of the furniture, zooming in on an IKEA tag to hype up the 10K comments race. also taking to instagram is gab bois who gives a shout out to mario bellini’s iconic 1970 dough-like ‘camaleonda’ sofa — from which the LOAFA was heavily inspired.
