this vacuum cleaner accent types out LEGO bricks in response to their dimension
that should be a necessary invention!
‘I design and build fake products to solve problems that don’t exist,’ says matty benedetto, the creator of the parody product series ‘unnecessary inventions’.
we all know how painful it is to step barefoot on little pieces of LEGOthat are scattered around the room. but it seems that benedetto has the solution. some years ago he came up with the idea of LEGO socks, incorporating a flexible sole with a geometric hole pattern to simply pick up each brick as you walk over.
today, he returns with a stronger innovation: the LEGO suck it!™️. it’s the world’s first LEGO vacuum cleaner accessory that automatically sorts each brick by its individual size.images by unnecessary inventions
when things get messy, just suck it
inspired by michael scott’s idea of ‘the office’ series, the LEGO suck it!™️ is assembled from a four-stage chamber, made of 3D-printed surfaces that are magnetically connected. each round surface is pierced by different-sized holes, letting bricks according to their size reach the corresponding stage. and so, it makes tidying up more fun and quick.
‘the high suction vacuum will ensure every brick is sucked up from your floors and swiftly deposited into the clear tube as each lego piece cascade down and get sorted into their different sizes. so when things get messy, just suck it!’
perhaps some food bits, hair, or dust will also be sucked up, but this doesn’t prevent us from admitting that the ‘LEGO suck it!™️’ works. stay tuned for the next unnecessary inventions, here.
