a classic American sportscar is up for auction
Relive the golden years of American sportscar design with this Shelby Cobra CSX4000 Series Roadster that will be auctioned off in June by Mecum Auctions. The 1965 model was built in 2002 at Shelby American in Las Vegas as part of a limited edition run to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company. This rare vehicle is number 29 of 40, and is 1 of only 5 with a handcrafted, polished aluminum body.

Inside this sporty model, drivers will find sleek black leather upholstery and a wood rimmed steering wheel. The dashboard features retro dials just like the original 1965 Roadster while the glovebox has been signed by Carroll Shelby himself.
There’s no indication of pricing yet, but a similar model sold for $205,000 back in 2020. See the full listing on Mecum Auctions here.
