This Lenny Kravitz–Designed Credenza Ties All the Aesthetics Together Inside This Baltimore Loft

Who?

Michele Price names herself well before naming her work. “I’m a sensitive, creative being,” she insists. The D.C. content creator now calls Baltimore home: It’s become the main hub where Michele produces all the content that lives on her Instagram page, which highlights her plant-filled loft, DIY projects, and luxurious but sustainable take on fashion. “It’s about all of the details of me expressing myself and my sense of style,” she says.

Michele’s effortless style is hard to miss. “I’m always giving friends, and even people on the street, style tips, and I think that’s a reflection of the regard they hold for me,” she explains. However, her love of twirling in whimsical Christopher John Rodger and Marah Hoffman dresses and designing the home of her dreams didn’t happen overnight. The seeds of her keen sense of style were planted as a little girl—she recounts flipping through magazines like Ebony, Essence, Jet, Vogue, and NYLON. Michele would circle pages, cut out clips, and try to make what she had in her closet work. “I wasn’t afraid to take risks and play with patterns and shapes on my body type,” she adds.

When Michele moved into her 1600-square-foot loft a little over a year ago, she wanted to honor her younger self by fulfilling old dreams while reimaging new ones.

What?

During one of her late-night phone scrolls, Michele spotted the ​Paseo Wood Media Credenza from Lenny Kravitz’s collection for CB2 and saved it to her Pinterest board. “I knew that I wanted a strong, artistic piece that was also delicate and told a story,” she recalls. After several months of careful consideration, she moved forward with purchasing it. “I felt this deep connection and drawn to this piece, like me and this piece are the same; it’s how I see myself,” she explains. “I see myself as a strong, delicate, and multifaceted being.”

When?

This spring she finally decided to pull the trigger on purchasing the credenza as an early 30th birthday gift. Michele wanted something that would tie into the muted tones in her living room decor and go along with her Afro-bohemian and coastal aesthetics. The 1600-square-foot space is adorned with 60 plants, as well as rattan, silver, and gold brass. “My place is a mixture of vintage, high-end, mid to low, and it will continue to change just as I have continued to change,” she notes.
