‘quick fold cane’ by michael graves design
Michael Graves Design introduces the ‘Quick Fold Cane’, a height-adjustable walking stick fitted with a fast and highly compact folding mechanism. Both lightweight (1lbs) and sturdy, the aluminum-lined design is available in four different colors (blue, green, black, and earthy brown). It comes with two separate tips that offer the choice between ‘a self-standing or an ultra-slim profile’.
The practice continues: ‘When using the X-Tip, the Quick Fold cane can stand on its own (on smooth level surfaces), so you free up your arms and hands when you need them.’

simple and fast folding mechanism
The ‘Quick Fold Cane’ folds up in three different sections and is kept compact thanks to internal magnets holding it together. To unfold it, users simply need to pull the sections apart and straighten the stick until the hinges retract into the shaft. To fold it back up, both ends need to be pulled outwards until the hinges are exposed, prompting the users to break down the cane into sections yet again.
Style-wise, Michael Graves Design (see more here) fitted the product with a unique handle that can rest comfortably on users’ arms or hook steadily onto any edge for a hands-free experience.
adjustable to the user’s height
As mentioned, the cane is height-adjustable: ‘To set the perfect height for you, press and hold the yellow button to easily slide the lower segment in or out of the upper segment,’ the team comments. The cane’s height will vary depending on if users are barefoot or wearing shoes.
