For the past 25 years, Cortney and Robert Novogratz have been transforming ordinary properties into high-end spaces where the interiors have a life of their own. The stylish couple shares a unique enthusiasm when it comes to design, which fans have been able to witness up close through their television series on HGTV and Bravo along with their resourceful books. (We can’t get enough of their tips and tricks!)
In addition to residential projects, the Novogratz have been dominating the decor realm with a furniture line that can be found everywhere from CB2 and Target to Home Depot and Amazon. Last year, they opened the doors to their debut furniture store in Los Angeles. Their growing list of brand collaborations includes exclusive collections with Sarah Jessica Parker and Tempaper, to name a few.
With a family of nine, Robert and Cortney definitely know a thing or two about keeping a house in order without skipping out on the fun and flashier details as well. “It’s a new year and another chance to upgrade your decor,” the couple shared via email. “Here are some ideas from us on how to make your space colorful, organized, and stylish.” The Novogratz were generous enough to share seven items that always make a statement in their inspiring and humble abode.
“It’s classic and timeless but in a fun color.”
“One other favorite item of ours has been the Cache locker series. It comes in multiple shapes and sizes, and it has a nostalgic design feel. It’s also super handy as it creates extra storage in a fun way.”
“This DIY wallpaper is a fun and clever way to change up your decor. Our favorite is Family of Cranes because our daughter just installed it in her first NYC apartment.”
“Multifunctionality is important in our lives today. We designed this Nora Kitchen Cart, which helps make a small space more functional.”
“We use this in our House of Novogratz beds. They are affordable mattresses, and given the quality, they are a great value. They come in four different thicknesses.”
“We love the vintage and object store Orange in L.A. We are using some of their items as we stage our L.A. Bird Street Project. These planters in particular are gorgeous.”
“Another item we love is an outdoor sauna like this one. Definitely a splurge but so relaxing and luxurious.”
