Shaquille O’Neal Buys a European-Inspired Home in the Dallas Suburbs

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has acquired a home in Carrollton, Texas. The current sports analyst purchased his new home two months ago, according to Dirt, and while the final sale price is unknown, the property was last listed at just under $1.22 million. The stone-quoined European-inspired manor spans 5,3000 square feet with five bedrooms and five bathrooms and a pair of powder rooms.

The front door is met with four fluted stone columns and two more Corinthian columns between the foyer and the formal dining room. A gorgeous library/office is wrapped in polished wood paneling and beige marble floors which run throughout the great room. The home features a contemporary fireplace and bright walls of windows that overlook the backyard.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, each with a private bath, along with a small home theater that is complete with leather movie recliners. Other features of the house include a gated motor court, a three-car garage and two attic spaces for storage. The backyard has an awning-shaded patio which overlooks a lagoon-style swimming pool with a stone fountain beach entry and a classic spill-over spa.

O’Neal sold his 31,000-square-foot Windermere Florida home last October for $11 million. He currently has a modest home in the Ladera Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles and a 14.3 acre two-resident compound 30 miles from Atlanta.
