Sean “Diddy” Combs’s Toluca Lake Mansion Was Sold to a Judas and the Black Messiah Producer for $6.5 Million

The buyer of rapper and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs’s Toluca Lake mansion has been revealed to be trailblazing film producer Charles D. King, according to Dirt. Diddy purchased the 9,655-square-foot dwelling in 2009 for $5.3 million and sold it earlier this year for $6.5 million. However, the musician never resided there–it was home to his former girlfriend and mother of four of his children, Kim Porter, until her unfortunate passing in 2018.

Originally put on the market for $7 million, the roomy 2006-built property has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The exterior is a stately traditional style affair with columns and crisp white wood siding. Inside, guests are welcomed by a grand foyer with a checkerboard marble floor, a curving black and white staircase, and coffered ceilings with a crystal chandelier. Beyond the foyer, the oversized living room enjoys elaborate millwork, a fireplace, and French doors that open to a sizeable pergola-topped terrace in the backyard, complete with an outdoor fireplace. Just beyond the terrace lies a pool with a Baja shelf and an adjoining spa.

King is the founder and CEO of a media company that specializes in the stories and perspectives of people of color and was part of the first all-Black producing team to be nominated for best picture at the Oscars for Judas and the Black Messiah last year. His new abode lies on an exclusive street that is also home to Sia, Viola Davis, Steve Carell, and Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song.
