Culver said she’s also including the current building plans, permits, and social media accounts with the sale, if the new owner wants them. The approved permits for the property include plans to create a large five-bed three-and-a-half-bath upper unit and a two-bed one-bath unit on the lower level. The home’s most notable features, including a steep roof, front-facing gable, bay windows, ornate trim, and a colorful façade, are all classic elements of Queen Anne Victorian-style architecture. 

The houses that make up the emblematic block, sometimes called the Seven Sisters, were built and developed between 1892 and 1895 by Matthew Kavanaugh, who lived in 722 Steiner for about five years. The Color Purple author Alice Walker famously owned 720 Steiner Street until the mid-1990s.

The Painted Ladies are seen in Full House’s opening credits, while the Tanner clan picnics in Alamo Square Park. However, the house where the family actually “lived” is about a mile away, at 1709 Broderick Street. That notable Victorian sold for $5.3 million in 2020, according to Zillow.
