salone del cellular might happen on june 2022 – as a substitute of its april date

MILAN’S SALONE DEL MOBILE NEW DATES COULD BE 7-12 JUNE 2022

the surge of the omicron variant has milan’s salone del mobile 2022 date under review. set to open on the 5th of april 2022, multiple sources say the event will be moved to june 2022 instead.

cancelled in 2020, and then moved to 2021 featuring a reduced format dubbed supersalone, the 2022 edition is supposed to go full format.

NEW DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED AT A PRESS CONFERENCE

‘fiera milano is doing an extraordinary job in managing and reorganizing calendars,’ maria porro, salone del mobile’s president, told italian newspaper corriere della sera. ‘as far as we are concerned, exhibitors’ adhesions are very good and confirm their trust in the event. in this moment I think it is essential to create a system. we, for our part, are now prepared to manage the different scenarios in the best possible way.’

the new date might be announced at a press conference set to take place in the following days.

the special 2021 salone del mobile event — the supersalone — concluded with an extremely positive outcome thanks to the cross-cutting format which companies embraced wholeheartedly. but as the pandemic continues to evolve, and countries are starting to consider a new approach to it, we can’t wait to have milan’s salone del mobile back on full throttle.
