Rihanna Sells Mediterranean-Inspired Hollywood Hills Home for $6.6 Million

America’s youngest self-made female billionaire—better known to fans as Rihanna—has finally sold her Hollywood Hills home, a property she’s had on and off the market since December of 2018. Although the singer turned cosmetics and lingerie mogul first listed the contemporary Mediterranean-influenced manse at just under $7.5 million in 2018, she was only able to get $6.6 million for it, which is $250,000 less than whatshe shelled out for the place in 2017.

The music-maker first listed the home for sale and rent at the same time, after falling victim to a string of celebrity-targeted break-ins back in 2018. Unable to find a buyer, the house was taken off the market and rented at $35,000 a month. In September 2021, at a higher $7.8 million, the house was again listed for sale, and finally found a buyer last week.

Nestled behind an abundance of greenery on 0.4 acres, the 7,130 square foot home is positioned to overlook the famous Sunset Strip.The color palette of public rooms on the ground floor of the six bedroom house is mostly white and beige, with the exception of the kitchen, where thecupboards and appliances are covered in a unique dark brown—almost black—cladding. The flooring in the home is a pleasant mix of stone and hard-wood, complemented by a mixture of round vaulting, beamed, and flat, high ceilings. Highlights of the property include a billiards room, a home theater, an infinity pool and spa, and a one-bedroom guest house which sits on the second floor of a two-car garage.

The Barbadian entertainer recently became a first-time mom in May. She shares a son with rapper A$AP Rocky.
