Reese Witherspoon’s Former Malibu Getaway—Complete With an Airstream—Hits The Market for $6 Million
Reese Witherspoon’s former Malibu vacation home known as “Zuma Farms” is up for grabs for $6 million. The modernized and renovated home was built in 1950, and was once used as a wedding venue. The one-of-a-kind dwelling is currently owned by Meg Haney—daughter of real estate billionaire Franklin Haney, and younger sister of a noted fashion designer and former stylist of Witherspoon. Haney paid $6.7 million for the getaway in 2020, a year after Witherspoon and her husband, Jim Toth paid $6.3 million for it in the summer of 2019.
The home lies in the foothills high above Zuma Beach and is described in the listing as a “rare, exceedingly private oasis.” The land spans nearly 2-acres and is tucked behind a gated driveway. In addition to a four-bedroom main house, the property includes a gorgeous repurposed barn, a building with a mirrored gym and media room, and an airstream that sleeps four and has its own kitchen, bathroom, and shower—perfect for guests. When Witherspoon sold the property, there was no mention of the airstream in the listing, so it seems likely that it was added by the next owner.
The main house features an open-plan living space with a wood-beamed ceiling, a beautiful brick fireplace, and large windows that allow sun to light the entire interior. The dining room sports a wall of glass which overlooks the yard. The kitchen is complete with high-end stainless appliances, a wet bar, and wine fridge.
Outside, you’ll soak in the greenery and fresh air. Mature sycamores lace the land, and feature an equestrian paddock, fire-pit, sport court, hot tub, and vine-covered pavilion, perfect for entertaining. The barn located in the yard has space for a bedroom, kitchen, and covered porch.
