Proposte 2022, 29th edition of the annual fair dedicated to the worlds of furnishing textiles and tapestry, opens from April 26-28 at Villa Erba, Cernobbio in Lake Como, Italy. The three-day festival of fabrics unites local and international professionals, trade members and enthusiasts with the new work of 68 global exhibitors: 29 italian and 40 international. It serves as a preview of many of the world’s latest soft solutions.

Proposte 2022 showcases the new and iconic fabric furnishings
On entry, Proposte 2022 welcomes visitors to the first of its three key spaces – the Exhibitors’ Forum. Here a soft installation previews the new collections of the exhibitors. In an immersive experience, guests can walk-through, investigate and touch the textile innovations that sit alongside the iconic evergreens of upholstery fabrics and curtains. The display showcases leading trends in colors, fibers and materials, textures, and designs in a new, abstract fashion.
Follow the blue carpet road and guests are greeted by the trade press desks and video screening. A film contribution, titled Italy is simply extraordinary: beIT, promotes made-in-italy production to the local as well as international audience. This is in the aim of bolstering the country’s exports, organized by the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation and the italian trade agency ICE.
The third special space at the fair is dedicated to innovative products in linen from CELC, the European Confederation of Linen and Hemp. The materials are showcased in case studies in high-end interior design. Additionally ADM, the Agency of Excises, Customs and Monopolies, illustrate the advanced processes their technicians use to analyze fibers and fabrics.
Throughout the three-day event, Proposte badge holders can also access the Sheraton Lake Como Hotel and Spazio Como, which hosts 7th edition of the International Observatory tradeshow. The event welcomes 24 participating companies who each operate in the international furnishing textiles sector.
