vibrant orange streaks line the interior and carpet over the seats. they mesh with the black design, appliances, and fixtures, a complement that divides up the space inside. opening the doors, the center area carves an abundant space to walk through, lending the interior a breathing aura free from suffocation. these features only make up a small portion of the characteristics that ford transit PHEV eco evolution offer, the brand’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.
campervan co. launched the world’s first low-emissions hybrid eco campervan in 2016. this pioneering work paved the way for the next generation of low-emissions RVs with an introduction and a sneak preview of the all-new ford transit PHEV eco evolution. ‘this prototype demos all the latest technology aimed at reducing RV emissions to zero, way ahead of the UK government’s 2030 deadline. this new eco camper model is bursting with innovative technology including ford’s unrivaled fully electric PHEV drivetrain with their award-winning 1-liter eco-boost range-extender engine plus an exciting host of pioneering campervan designs offering our lightest and lowest carbon-emitting campervan to date,’ the brand writes.

lightweight and spacious
the kitchen houses lightweight modular equipment to lighten the load of the vehicle for everyday use. overhead units double as storage spaces to cram products and objects in. the camper boasts enhanced insulation that improves climate control, reducing energy waste. the electric vehicle anchors a 3000-watt clayton leisure battery to fuel independent cooking, cooling, and lighting power while the 1000-watt solar panels provide zero-emissions power anywhere and charge the camper as it is driven.
the roof elevates to open the vision to scenic vistas and stargazing as below it, the bed space, which can accommodate two people, is positioned. range of optional appliances – such as coffee-maker, toaster, slow-cooker, microwave, and tv – may be placed around the camper with charging stations and wi-fi options being available (wireless charging is also an option). when it comes to hosting guests, the front seats swivel to sit up to six people with four as the standard, and the camper’s superglide varitrak system provides large boot space when required.
