Öijared Resort // Kaminsky Arkitektur

25 years after Gert Wingårdh’s breakthrough with Öijared Country Club, we were selected to complement the facility with a hotel of 34 rooms.
The building is respectfully immersed in the surrounding nature with materials and muted colors from the forest’s palette, both exterior and interior.
The facade is rotated at different angles that provide six different views.

The entire volume of zigzags between the tree trunks and the facade is made of local wood from the Öijaredshalvön and drapes the building, which is composed of room modules in wood made at the factory.
The trees are allowed to continue to grow as they wish, while hotel guests experience the silence of the forest and the enchanting and unifying power of fire..
