Norman Reedus Lists His West Village Town House, a Catskills Floating Farmhouse Is Up for Grabs, and More Real Estate News
Sales launched this week at La Botanica, a new biophilic condominium in the East Village designed by DXA Studio.
Tucked away on 6th Street between Avenues B and C, the eight-story Danish Petersen–brick building includes only five residences, each with a unique layout and finishes. The building’s design is inspired by the East Village’s many nearby green spaces, including Tompkins Square Park and El Jardín del Paraíso on East 5th Street.
Each of the five homes “feels like its own hidden oasis,” DXA cofounder Wayne Norbeck said in a statement. Massive windows frame the treetops of a neighboring botanical garden, while the units’ hidden terraces create open-air living spaces full of natural sunlight. The 2,535-square-foot penthouse includes multiple balconies and a 1,251-square-foot terrace.
Prices range from $2.95 million for a two-bedroom unit to $6.995 million for the three-bedroom penthouse. Kirsten Jordan at Douglas Elliman is handling sales.
Mandarin Oriental lands on Grand Cayman
Melkonian Capital Management and RAL Development Services have commenced sales for The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman, the brand’s first residential property in the Caribbean.
When completed in 2025, it will also be the first luxury property on St. James Point, Grand Cayman’s southernmost coast. According to Ryan Melkonian, managing partner at Melkonian, residents will be far from the crowds at Seven Mile Beach but still enjoy first-class dining, shopping, and other perks of island life. “My family and I have been coming to Grand Cayman for many years and love it,” Melkonian said in a statement. He also called the property “a sanctuary of sophisticated design, service and hospitality.”
Options range from two-bedroom homes to five-bedroom penthouses, with pricing for phase one starting at $4 million.
