Mariah Carey Lists Colonial-Style Atlanta Estate for $6.5 Million

Mariah Carey is known for being a diva, but there is no denying that she is a living legend. Last June, the singer was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and reportedly continues to make about $2.6 million in royalties every year for her 1994 hit “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Considering her signature glittery-glam style and persona, it’s only fitting that the pop star’s interior design tastes are equally glitzy. In 2001, AD toured the artist’s glamorous Art Dèco-inspired Tribeca triplex that was famously featured on MTV’s Cribs the following year. Twenty years later, the best-selling female musician of all time is offering an equally luxurious tidbit of real estate news: a $6.5 million listing for an Atlanta estate complete with all of the lavish trappings we have come to expect from the Songbird Supreme.

Perched on a private four-acre hilltop lot near Atlanta’s upscale Buckhead neighborhood, the red brick colonial-style was built in 1951 and houses an impressive nine bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and five half-baths across 12,575 square feet. Carey purchased the estate for $5.65 million just last November but has clearly made her personal mark on the property, most notably with the addition of a private recording studio on the third floor. Other glam touches include an abundance of crystal chandeliers, a pink dressing room with a matching pink vanity, and a primary suite complete with a bespoke walk-in closet, a wet bar, a fireplace, and a private patio.

Crown moldings, coffered ceilings, and arched doorways are found throughout the home, which also has a large white marble kitchen, a wood-paneled library, a theater, and a home gym. French doors offer plenty of sunlight and open out to the backyard, which boasts a tennis court, a pool, and plenty of outdoor space for lounging and entertaining.
