‘venere divina. armonia sulla terra’ at fondazione palazzo te
from april 26th to december 12th 2021, fondazione palazzo te in mantova, italy, hosted an exhibition dedicated to the goddess venus and her mythology. inside the 16th century palazzo, the exhibition took visitors on a three-part journey exploring the myth of venus from antiquity to modern times. designing this journey was lissoni & partners, who curated the fitout at fondazione palazzo te for the third year in a row.
the design team wanted the works to speak for themselves while also affording visitors a clear interpretation and perception of the palazzo spaces. to achieve this, lissoni & partners inserted simple dark green volumes to disengage from the historical building. the strong green hue was selected to express emotion and establish a close connection to the curatorial nature of the project.
