Let’s Attempt Some New Habits

This time last year I was spouting deep thoughts about how everything bad about 2020 was going to continue into 2021—which was not wrong. And while this year feels like it’s beginning just the same (hello darkness, my old friend), that’s not to say you and I can’t ALSO have positive thoughts and new, healthy habits. It’s all about balance and just enough optimism.

I got a sleep tracker to remind me to get to bed at a reasonable hour. I’ve swapped all the alcohol consumption for seltzer water. I’m determined to clean the stovetop more than once a month. You get the point. Good habits yadda yadda yadda. I support fun, indulgent habits too. Maybe you want to buy yourself a nice pair of shoes once a month.
