Kacey Musgraves Sells Chic Nashville Oasis for $2.5 Million

Country crooner Kacey Musgraves has parted ways with her chic Nashville pad that graced Architectural Digest’s May 2022 cover. According to Dirt, fellow country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini recently paid $2.5 million for the traditional-style house, which has four bedrooms and three bathrooms across 3,494 square feet of living space.

Two years ago, Musgraves bought the 2012-built house, sided in cream-colored wood, from AD100 designer Louisa Pierce for $1.9 million. Pierce had decked out the dwelling in a maximalist style, employing copious amounts of wallpaper and bold hues throughout. The “Slow Burn” singer, however, was freshly divorced from fellow country musician Ruston Kelly and wanted a minimalist oasis to retreat to. “I wanted a place that felt like me,” Musgraves told AD, “where I could express myself without having to think about another person and what they might want. This felt like a new beginning.”

The musician hired interior designer Lindsay Rhodes, who transformed the space into an understated and serene backdrop for Musgraves’s large eclectic collection of secondhand furniture and decor. “There’s something really interesting to me about taking ownership over an object that meant a lot to someone else, and kind of becoming the new steward of whatever it is,” Musgraves explained during AD’s tour of the home.

Tucked amongst trees and other greenery at the end of a long driveway, the charming house features a detached guesthouse, a saltwater pool with an inset spa, and numerous patios. White oak floors complement the tranquil and airy interiors, which include an art studio, a dusty pink music room, and a dining room lined with butter-yellow silk wall coverings.
