Jonah Hill Sells Modern Malibu Colony House for $11 Million

Jonah Hill has finally off-loaded the 3,600-square-foot Malibu house he put up for sale last summer, per Dirt. After owning the home for just over a year, the Oscar-nominated actor listed the uber-modern digs for $15 million. No one would bite, however, so the Superbad actor placed the house on the market for rent at $50,000 a month. The Malibu Colony home was then re-listed for sale at just under $14 million and after a few months, changed hands at a little over $11 million, giving the cannabis-investor buyer a hefty $4 million discount. Hopefully Hill turned a profit on his $9 million purchase as the movie producer did make renovations before putting the house up for sale.

Despite being across the street from the ocean and having “deeded access” to the beach, Hill decided to move to a more traditional-style residence in the same neighborhood, paying $15.5 million for the privilege of having a staircase that leads from his door to the sand. 

The box-shaped house Hill just sold has a striking facade after the Superbad star painted the previously white three-story abode a deep shade of charcoal gray. Inside, one of the more arresting features is the kitchen with its walls and cupboards painted a deep black. A living area is brightened by white walls, clerestory windows, and French doors. The primary bedroom features a wood-burning fireplace with a contemporary floor-to-ceiling black-and-white-veined marble mantel; the primary bathroom features a double shower and a sauna. Despite its small size, the backyard comes with a sinuous pool and spa surrounded by colorful plants, an al fresco dining area, and a kitchen complete with stainless steel cabinetry, small chillers, and an electric barbeque grill.  

Hill, whose full name is Jonah Hill Feldstein, recently filed a petition to drop the Feldstein, to be known legally as Jonah Hill. The Wolf of Wall Street actor is also one of the stars in next month’s Netflix movie, You People.
