Introducing AN Interior Source Material, a curated guide to the latest interiors products

Introducing AN Interior Source Material, the curated guide to the best new products for residential, workplace, and hospitality interiors; made for—and loved by—architects and designers. The following Editor’s Note from AN Market Editor Sophie Aliece Hollis contextualizes this new supplement and its added value to the editorial ambitions of AN Interior.

In 2015, The Architect’s Newspaper published the first issue of AN Interiors to share architect-designed spaces in an elevated format. We’ve since dropped the “s” and grown the brand through graphic design updates, in-person programming, expansive coverage of industry events, and exhibitions, all with constant engagement with AN Media’s expert audience of AEC professionals.

Last year, Maiarelli Studio redesigned the publication to position it for future expansion, which in part arrives with this guide. To supplement AN Interior’s print issues, web coverage, biannual showroom crawls, and active social media, we are pleased to introduce AN Interior Source Material as our first foray into the interior products space. Three interior realms—residential, workplace, and hospitality—organize this digital issue’s chapters. AN’s editors sought out the latest releases from both long-respected brands and new innovators, so this definitive guide contains a range of resources, from furnishings and lighting to fabrics and hardware.

To start, we report from KBIS to highlight brands with seriously sustainable offerings. Each chapter is then supplemented by an architectural project demonstrating a relevant trend. With the addition of this offering to round out AN Interior’s yearly coverage, it feels like AN’s sister publication is growing up fast. We think she’s pretty cute, and hope you will too.
