Inside Ariana Grande’s Many Beautiful Homes

“Meteoric” is a good way to describe Ariana Grande’s rise to fame. The petite pop star released her first hit, “The Way,” in 2013, and in nearly a decade since, she’s amassed both a solid collection of number ones and an impressive array of properties. Grande was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, but has set down roots in both New York City and Los Angeles as an adult, and she has a penchant for homes with celebrity pedigrees. Prior to investing millions in real estate, however, the “Positions” singer was a notorious renter, trying out pads in different neighborhoods for months and years at a time. Given that she’s now married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez, it’s likely that her list of properties will only continue to grow.

Below, we’ve rounded up some of the places that Grande has called home.

2010s

As Grande was shifting her focus from acting to singing, she and her mother, Joan, rented a luxurious French-manor-style house in L.A.’s Toluca Lake neighborhood. Measuring approximately 10,000 square feet, the property boasted amenities such as a wine cellar in the formal dining room, a chef’s kitchen with a granite center island, a home theater, and a gym. The home, which was custom-built in 2007, also boasted coffered ceilings, wood and stone floors, and seven fireplaces with hand-carved mantels. While it’s unclear how much Grande and her mom shelled out a month for the rental, it last sold for $6.5 million in November 2015, according to Realtor.

Grande and her mother next moved into a rental in L.A.’s Hancock Park that previously belonged to iconic film director Francis Ford Coppola. The Tudor-style home featured six bedrooms and boasted a soaring two-story entryway, a gourmet kitchen, a wood-paneled sunroom, and a generously sized pool and spa. The house measured 6,041 square feet, and Grande reportedly left her mark by installing a recording studio in the basement. Though it is not publicly known exactly how much the mother-daughter pair paid for their stay there, the home was reportedly on the rental market for $18,900 a month in 2012.

2015

Another one of Grande’s rentals was a Mediterranean-inspired mansion situated in the Benedict Canyon area of L.A. The secluded property measured more than 6,000 square feet and featured five bedrooms. The marble interiors of the home showed up frequently on Grande’s social media feeds (fans are sure to recognize the intricate wrought iron railings). Dirt reported that the property was last on the rental market for $40,000 a month.

Grande’s next home was also her first big real estate purchase—3,000 miles away in New York City. At the time she was in a headline-making, whirlwind romance with Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson. The singer reportedly paid $16 million for a swanky Chelsea apartment in a building outfitted with all the amenities one might expect for a megastar of her caliber: an IMAX theater, a sauna, a private spa, and a pool. The unit measured 4,000 square feet and boasted five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. In an interview with GQ, Davidson joked about feeling out of place in the high-end pad. “She’s really sweet. She’s like, ‘This is our house,’ and I’m like, ‘You’re very nice for saying that. Thank you for letting me stay here,’” he said. “It’s like, we have six beanbags, but we have no forks—you know what I mean? We’re learning how to be adults. We’re having a really fun time.”
