How to use the new features of Twinmotion 3D visualization 2021.1
it provides powerful new capabilities to create, develop and present visualizations as a fully connected member of the Epic ecosystem.
Reinforcing its position as an essential component of the entire archiving process from concept to advanced realism experience,
in addition, with this release, Unreal Engine continues its efforts to improve existing features and workflows in response to customer feedback.
New key features
-
A Bridge to the Unreal Engine
With a new Unreal Engine plugin that enables users to import Twinmotion projects into Unreal Editor.
Visualizations can be taken to the next level in Twinmotion,
then take the project to the visualization specialist for further improvement in Unreal Engine,
including lighting scenarios, fine materials, high-quality visualization outputs, animation, and other advanced behaviors.
Once in the Unreal Engine, it is possible to add advanced functions, for example using Variant Manager to offer custom design options.
2. Presenter Cloud Early Access
You can share projects with any stakeholder, anywhere in the world, with early access to the new Twinmotion Presenter Cloud service.
With a primary Windows or macOS computer and a web browser,
users can view and interact with a Presenter file running on the Cloud’s advanced GPU,
making the service ideal for sharing work for review with clients in remote locations,
or with colleagues during a business climate from home Present.
Quixel Megascans 3D Assets and Surface classes have been integrated into Twinmotion’s asset library to ensure easy navigation and access directly within Twinmotion projects.
The 3D assets also include thousands of high-quality elements that can be used to fill a scene in categories like buildings, food, industrial, and nature,
while the surfaces offer a wide range of high-resolution materials covering everything from bark to brick and from marble to metal.
Assets are stored on the Cloud until they are downloaded for use, which reduces local storage requirements.
3- Datasmith direct link
The feature to add support for the Datasmith Direct Line function,
which is being developed to support communications between multiple sources and multiple destinations simultaneously,
improves the user experience.
In this release, support for Revit was added, allowing users to group multiple Revit files representing different stages or aspects of a project – such as landscape plans,
urban contexts, façades, and interiors – with Direct Link updates.
In future releases, the user will be able to collect files from various sources,
such as Revit and Rhino, while maintaining the Direct Link functionality with each.
4. Origins of new trees, people, and training furniture
140 new assets added to Twinmotion’s Asset Library, including 20 new Japanese and American trees,
60 new furniture assets for gyms and street workout areas, and 60 new ready-made people,
expanding options to simplify context and add life to each project.
5. Lighting improvements
A number of small interior changes have been made to the default, minimum and maximum intensity of various lighting features,
including sun, moon, artificial lights, particles, car lights, street lights, and emission materials.
Auto exposure settings have also been adjusted to create a smoother transition between day and night.
6. Unrealistic presentation patterns
Quick and easy switching between different unrealistic display styles (hidden line, hidden shadow line, wood model, metal pattern, white pattern, and virtual materials)
in order to focus on specific aspects of the design, such as lighting or shape, or to represent a more technical hand-drawn style .
7. Presenter
Staging can now be included in Presenter files, allowing architects to sequentially introduce different stages of the project creation schedule remotely,
and can also run staging from any camera position.
8. Color on vegetation
Twinmotion has added the ability to change the general hue of both the stem and foliage,
making it easy to maintain visual consistency with other elements of the scene.
9. UI / UX improvements
A number of UI / UX improvements have been added to help new users get better speed,
including a new Header panel that integrates navigation instructions and a button to directly export the current project to Presenter Cloud.
10. Improvements in performance
Twinmotion has changed the basic data structure of the engineering, improving the overall performance and stability.
