Harry and Meghan’s House: Everything We Noticed in Their House in the New Netflix Documentary
The long awaited Netflix docuseries from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, fittingly titled Harry & Meghan, is finally here—and it looks like a closer look at Harry and Meghan’s house is here too. There’s been speculation about the couple’s life in the US since it was first announced that they were leaving the royal family—a.k.a. “the firm”—in 2020, yet only dribs and drabs of information on their new life has come straight from the source. Now, they’re finally telling their story from their own perspectives, and from what we can tell, their interview footage was shot in their Montecito, California, home.
Though it hasn’t been confirmed that the footage was shot at their real home, everything lines up with what we already know about the space. The three spots where interviews were recorded (one for interviews with both of them, and two spaces for Harry and Meghan’s respective solo interviews) appear to take place in the home’s great room, which is flooded with light from the double height arched windows that line the back of the house. In line with the glimpses we’ve had into Meghan’s workspace and a video that Harry shared from their home earlier this year, the space has nothing in common with the wallpapered and giltwood frame–filled spaces of Harry’s youth. What you can expect is plenty of plants, neutral upholstery, and brass accents, along with loads of outdoor space (which Harry is seen watering himself in one casual clip in the first episode).
Below, we’ve chosen a selection of items that remind of us the cozy and cool furnishings on display in the docuseries’s first part.
