florim nature mood collection mixes marble- and wood-inspired decors
florim nature mood invades human-made interiors
An interior design project, no matter how big or small, typically starts with a creative mood-board; whether a scrapbook or immaculate display of sources of inspiration, from styles to materials, colors and finishes. Florim Ceramiche Spa, the Italian ceramic specialists, refine their own mood-board for architects and designers embarking on a new project by mixing a marble and wood blend. Called Nature Mood, the collection is therapeutic to urban spaces. The natural mix of materials invades human-made interiors, bringing outside in, and positively affecting the surroundings. The stoneware can cover all surfaces, from floors to walls and even furniture.

As a strong characteristic for the brand who acquired Benefit Corporation status in 2020, the Florim Nature Mood collection debuts an environmentally friendly design with only natural materials used. Marble- and wood-inspired qualities are interwoven in a harmonious dialogue of nuances, veining and perfect imperfections. The veining, especially, is clean and minimalist. It adds unique details to the warm-hued surfaces. With the presence of light, the beauty of these surfaces are magnified even more so.
surface decors, sizes, finishes and thicknesses to aid designers
The collection offers an active component of design for architects and interior designers as they realize projects. It helps create elegant spaces that bridge the interior and exterior through its natural traits. The marble surfaces come in a scope of sizes (60x120cm through to 120x280cm), thicknesses (6mm and 9mm), and finishes (comfort or glossy). Likewise, the wood veneers are also available in a range of options to fit different design needs: sizes from 60x120cm to 120x280cm, thicknesses of 6mm or 10mm, and either comfort or structured finishes. The collection can even be used for facades if desired.
An array of decors enable designers the perfect style for the interiors. The colors of different wood-inspired surfaces differentiate each décor option. To start, Hexagon combines three six-sided polygons into its design, each divided into two shades: warm hues of Planks 01, 02 and 03; and cooler colors of Planks 04, 05 and 06. The French Herringbone décor, whereas, recalls the classic laying pattern for parquet flooring. It has been reformulated to alternate small slats in two colorings: amber shades of Planks 01 and 02; and gray tones of Planks 05 and 06. Stripes alternate small strips of two colors so contrasting or harmonious styles can be created. Strip consists of a plank with thin, elongated lines available in all colors of the collection. Lastly, Chevron coordinates all six wood effect tones in a pattern of timeless charm.
