EICMA 2021: meet the x custom build of the iconic honda super cub
HONDA SUPER CUB X – REBEL LOOK FOR A CLASSIC ICON
the honda super cub c125 is a remake of the iconic little japanese scooter from the late 1950’s. while it is available since 2019 in the american market, it will only make its european debut in 2022. it is currently presented to the public at EICMA 2021 in milan.
after the fully-electric project which we covered in 2018, another interesting custom build has come up. MAAN motocicli audaci, an italian workshop from sardinia, was commissioned by honda europe to create a custom model of this classic motorcycle, and they have come up with an elegant off road twist.

3D-PRINTED COMPONENTS aND RAISED SEAT
knobby tires, ohlins suspensions, raised seating position and led lights give the super cub x a modern and strong enduro look. for this build the whole original chassis and engine were kept untouched, while all the extra components, most notably the side panels which integrate the exhaust, were 3D-printed.

DUSTER MODE FOR OFF ROAD RIDING
the super cub c 125 is actually classified as a minimoto and not as a city scooter. the x custom model brings this vehicle further out from the urban commuter stereotype. the MAAN team also played with the electronics, and have included a so called ‘duster mode’ which lets you disable the software controls as the ABS, leaving you free to ride in the toughest paths.
