ALL ELECTRIC CONCEPT FROM GIUGIARO’S DELOREAN

mumbai-based designer onkar h has reinterpreted the iconic delorean in a futuristic, all-electric concept, which pays tribute to the famous protagonist car from zemeckis’ back to the future.

the original delorean was designed by giorgetto giugiaro and introduced in the high-end automotive market back in 1981. today only 6,500 of them are still on the road. ‘now, time has come to bring the legend of the past, back to the future, and fully prepared for it! welcome to project delorean e!’ onkar h says.

the delorean e bravely leaves out the recognizable gull-winged doors, in fact this concept car has no doors at all, leaving the only entry through the retractable windshield. onkar h has designed this two-seater super car paying great attention to details, from the custom-shaped led lights to the recycled-looking material used for the rims, however he states that this project ‘has been developed and executed completely in blender over a span of 2 days, including creativity process of ideation and form generation’.

A DELOREAN WITHOUT GULL-WINGED DOORS

electric blue and gray are the two chosen colors for this re-edition of the delorean. racing seats and an octagonal steering wheel complete a clean and minimal interior. while this concept model can recall the tesla cybertruck for its edgy rear and full wheels, the overall squarish shape stays true to the original vehicle.
