there are hundreds of COVID-19 test stations in berlin. through this photo series, photographer anna baptist captures some of these uncommon spaces in berlin, testifying the city’s madness.
like the metropolis itself, the facilities are unconventionally innovative. among modified christmas market stalls, garden sheds, kebab stands, bakeries, or corner pubs; under tents and single-family homes, berlin’s creative spirit is on display.

who would have imagined two years ago that commercial spaces would be turned into test stations? from pizzerias to nightclubs, we see the city of berlin being transformed for the sake of the pandemic. along with inside spaces, there are also outdoor patents that host test centers. austria-born photographer wanders the streets of berlin, capturing this craziness.
