Ben Affleck Fetches $28.5 Million for East Coast–Style L.A. Mansion

Just two months since it was first listed, Ben Affleck’s East Coast Traditional–Style Pacific Palisades mansion has officially sold. The closing price was $28.5 million, making the sale the third highest this year in the home’s prestigious Pacific Palisades neighborhood, according to the LA Times.

Asking price for the tri-level, 13,000-plus-square-foot bachelor pad was a whopping $29.995 million, roughly about $10 million more than the $19.95 million the actor and director paid for the pad back in 2018. Affleck bought the freshly-built manse following his divorce from Jennifer Garner and put it on the market right after his wedding to Jennifer Lopez this summer. No personal information about the buyer is available at this time, though records show they put an offer in on the home within weeks of the original listing.

The seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom house sits on a half acre of prime property across from the prestigious Riviera Country Club. Although the facade is inspired by traditional East Coast architecture, the home’s interior is thoroughly modern and facilitates a highly desirable indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Sliding glass doors in the family room open up to a covered patio furnished with a dining and lounging area that include a fireplace and television-centered lounge area. The backyard accommodates a large well-manicured lawn, a pool, and poolhouse.

Appropriate for the father of three, a sleek grey water slide offers additional excitement to the pool area. Back inside, a temperature-controlled wine room provides a more sophisticated option for entertaining guests. Following the builder, Affleck was the first owner of the home which was completed in 2017.

Affleck and Lopez got married this summer following a whirlwind romance that was rekindled almost twenty years after their broken engagement. Per TMZ, the newlyweds have reportedly decided to settle down in Lopez’s Bel-Air compound once renovations are complete.
