Sight Unseen Co-Founder Jill Singer’s Greenpoint Apartment Is Defined By Her Favorite Objects
In the living and dining area, Jill’s emerald green velvet Michael Felix Flora Sofa inspired Keren to employ a palette of jewel tones. She brought in two midnight blue Murrmurr armchairs, a multi-colored Yaacov Agam artwork, and a set of vintage Magistretti-style dining chairs that she reupholstered in teal velvet. She also channeled the 1970s, Jill’s favorite era, with groovy burl wood (in the custom, low-slung coffee table and the vintage pedestal dining table) and a Romeo Rega–style cream and brass credenza that exudes subtle glamor.
Though Jill couldn’t renovate the sleek open kitchen, she still made it her own with a pair of vintage Gangsø Møbler counter stools and a slew of playful vessels. She displays whimsical ceramics and glassware from artists like Morgan Peck, BZippy, Peter Shire, Sophie Lou Jacobsen, and RiRa Objects. “A lot of things on the shelves are the result of late-night Etsy-ing,” reveals Jill. “I have a tendency to acquire stuff without any plan for it, so it’s a nice place to put everything. I love how Keren restyled them for me, with symmetry and intention.”
