Kimora Lee Simmons Sells Beverly Hills Mansion for $16.5 Million
The real estate gods have blessed Kimora Lee Simmons with a buyer for her Neoclassical-slash-Mediterranean Coldwater Canyon estate, TMZ reports. According to the outlet, the model and fashion mogul, who listed the property at $23 million this past January, found a buyer to take the palatial digs off her hands for $16.5 million.
The mother of five purchased the 1990 build back in 2008 for $11 million and according to Dirt.com, she last rented it in December for $62,500 per month. The new owner seems to think that they can one-up Lee Simmons though, since they’ve wasted no time placing the sprawling compound on the rental market for $100,000 per month.
At 9,405 square feet, the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom abode is massive. A white, double-height foyer, with an elaborate wrought iron staircase that leads to the second floor, greets visitors upon entering the home. Images of a family room show dark hardwood floors with white furniture and an off-white coffered ceiling. French doors flood the space with sunny SoCal’s abundant natural light. A designated dining room repeats the dark/light theme, but the ceiling here carries intricate classical details and is not coffered.
