Colin King x West Elm: Shop Our Editors’ Picks
If you’ve spent any amount flipping through an issue of Architectural Digest in recent years then you’ve likely been exposed to an interior curated by Colin King. The interior stylist has helped shape the spaces of stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Athena Calderone, and Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. From highly visible tastemakers to household brands, everyone turns to his elevated eye for vignettes that are delicately layered and lived-in.
While he’s more frequently found Arranging Things (yes, that’s the title of his book that came out earlier this year), the multihyphenate partnered with West Elm to create this limited-edition collection of wares, launching today on westelm.com. The collection ranges in price from $29 to $3,299 and features everything from a neatly tailored linen sofa to the smallest of details, like creamy ceramic decanters perfect for a mantle display.
“Together with West Elm, we’ve created versatile everyday treasures, including accessories, seating, and lighting,” Colin states in a press release. “Thoughtfully conceived and finely crafted, they’re pieces that will add intrigue and beauty to any room—whether standing on their own or mingling with others. All of them share a refined spirit rooted in texture, materiality, and form.”

You could easily put this nesting table set in any room of the house. They’d look nice paired together or even in different corners of your living room to hold votives or a few beloved coffee table books.
I love the natural element and texture jute rugs bring to a space. I think the leather accents on this one really add an extra dimension to this design, making it feel a bit more modern. I’d pair it with the Torchiere Pendant from the collection, along with a nice leather accent chair and midcentury coffee table.

I’m a sucker for stripes—really any classic pattern—and love that these pillow covers feel timeless. I’m at a point in my decor journey where I’m realizing that playing around with the smaller details, like the pillows on my bed or couch, can make a big difference in the appearance of a room, so I’m always looking for items that I can easily swap in and out depending on how I’m feeling at any time.
Travertine is incredibly popular these days, but for good reason. It feels both polished and lived-in, and I love the way its durability contrasts with the delicacy of the cotton shade on this lamp.

Looking at spaces that Colin has styled always makes me wish I was more sophisticated, and what could possibly be an easier route to sophistication than adding a few candle sticks to your living space? I love these caramel mood lighting–esque candles especially.
I love the contrast of the plump, cartoon-y base of this lamp with its ceramic brown base. Neutral pieces don’t need to be devoid of personality!
