Freestanding washbasins are onto an evolution with contemporary shapes and raw materials. Born from the overlapping of different geometric shapes, Carlo Colombo’s Albume collection for antoniolupi sees an upgrade with models AlbumeLux and Albume12. The designs express the delicate balance between function and art as the monolithic columns expand combination possibilities for the bathroom with touches of antique marble, transparencies, light and color. The novelties are set to be revealed during Salone del Mobile 2023 as well as at the brand’s showroom in Milan.

antoniolupi gives the sink a preciousness that even in its clean and minimal shapes marks the entire room. Carlo Colombo‘s AlbumeLux and Albume12 join the brand’s family of washbasins through a balance between shape, size and materials. The functional upgrade gives more space for water with a larger and more generous basin as the column remains unchanged in size from the original design.

albumelux lights up the bathroom with elegance
AlbumeLux expands the collection generated by a balance of shapes and sizes, a proposal that elevates the functionality of the sink by adding light to the performance, hence the name. Thanks to its illuminated structure, the standing washbasin embellishes any bathroom environment generating elegant, almost romantic atmospheres. The product has a strong personality, characterized by the use of chromatic consistency, finishes, technology, and Italian craftsmanship.

The base is made of Flumood Dinamico, a solid surface born from antoniolupi’s continuous research activity. This compact translucent resin allows the stem to spread light uniformly throughout the space, transforming AlbumeLux into an archetype lamp and diffuser. Many combinations are available with basins in Cristalmood, marble, lacquered Flumood and other materials, finishes and colors to ensure maximum customization possibilities and aesthetic as well as chromatic consistency with the other elements and surfaces.

albume12 blends the column’s rigor with the sink’s lightness
Albume12 strengthens the evolution of freestanding sinks. Its column remains unchanged in size from the first design, while the sink is enlarged reaching a diameter of 52cm and a height of 19cm. Between rigor and lightness, the reflections and transparencies begin to merge. The two elements that summarize the project is the base that expresses strength, and the transparent and colorful basin that lets water play the leading role.

Materials and colors define the image of the sink, which despite the invariability of its clean forms radically changes its face according to the column and basin choices. Albume12 is characterized by a chromatic and material uniformity despite its monolithic image. The dialogue between the parts continues with the column dressed in White Carrara Marble or Black Marquinia and the sink in Cristalmood with trendy colors such as Bronze or Nocturne. For further harmony, the solidity of the stone is enhanced by the lightness of the basin and vice versa, resulting in staggering compositions.
