Alex Trebek’s Former Studio Metropolis Compound Is Listed for $7 Million
It’s been nearly a year and a half since longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek passed away. For the vast majority of his 37 seasons working on the show, Trebek lived in a sprawling compound in Studio City. That gated property has just been listed for $6.995 million, Dirt reports.
With interior space that rings in just under 10,000 square feet and 1.46 acres of land, there’s plenty of room to spread out on the estate. The main residence opens to twin wrought iron staircases, creating a grand, if outdated, impression in the foyer. Most of the entertaining areas are found up those stairs, including a spacious living room, a dining room, a wet bar, and a media room. The kitchen is also located on the second floor, and though its details are dated, it’s extremely spacious with three walls covered in cabinets surrounding a large island and two walk-in pantries available. The primary suite is also quite generous and includes four walk in closets, two bathrooms, a terrace, and an adjoining office space. Painted accents throughout the space, like the trompe-l’oeil vines are painted on the walls in the living room’s rotunda, increase the sense of stateliness in the property.

Elsewhere on the five bedroom, eleven bathroom estate is a two story guest house with its own garage, kitchen, and living rooms, plus a dining area, and a bedroom with a walk-in closet. Though the outside space isn’t in the best shape, it features sprawling lawn, a pool and spa, and in a separate secluded location, an additional spa.
