Alessandra Ambrósio Sells Arthur Casas–Designed NYC Condo for $2.8 Million
Former Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrósio is no longer a New York City landlord. The Brazilian beauty spends most of her time at her Spanish Colonial Revival home in Santa Monica when not traveling for work, so the sale of her Murray Hill penthouse seems natural. The unit was scooped up for a discounted $2.75 million after being listed for $2.995 million. The mother of two bought the Arthur Casas-designed condo for $1.88 million in 2005 and subsequently rented it out for over $12,000 a month, starting in 2014.
The 1,600-square-foot condo comes with three-bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. A 535-square-foot outdoor terrace on the upper floor provides stunning southern and western views of the city while balconies that hug eastern and southern edges of the apartment deliver views on the lower level. Through a huge transom-like window on the upper floor, the primary bedroom with its ensuite bathroom, looks down onto a double height living room with hard-wood plank floors and a wood-burning fireplace. The sun-drenched living area also features massive windows with a semi-open pass-thru kitchen, and a separate dining room.
Designed by Liebman & Liebman Architects, the full-service building comes with a concierge, fitness center, and an on-site garage. The unit itself was designed by Brazilian architect Arthur Casas. Paul Hazen of Douglas Elliman represented Ambrosio in the sale and Lena Datwani of Sotheby’s International Realty Downtown Manhattan, represented the buyer.

After having one of the longest runs as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, the veteran supermodel hung up her wings in 2017. Despite retiring from the lingerie brand, the mother of two is still a very busy model with several recent campaigns under her belt and as a host of the next season of Germany’s Next Top Model.
