air France unveils new business seat
On May 10th, 2022, Air France unveiled its new long-haul Business Class seat that features even more curves, offering optimal comfort to travelers across the globe. According to the company, the design is based on the 3 ‘F’s – Full Flat, Full Access and Full Privacy, while also incorporating a wide HD screen with a noise-reducing headset and Bluetooth connection.
The new travel cabin will be progressively introduced to the airline’s Boeing 777-300s from September 2022. Each aircraft will be equipped with 48 seats in Business class, and each cabin will be elegantly decorated in the brand’s signature colors: navy blue, white, and red.

Full flat, Full access, full privacy
As mentioned previously, the new seat design by Air France (see more here) is based on three main concepts: Full Flat, Full Access, and Full Privacy. ‘Full Flat’ means that the seat can transform into a real bed that’s almost two meters long, giving users the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable nap while flying. Meanwhile, ‘Full Access’ ensures that the seat provides all travelers with direct access to the aisle. Last but not least, ‘Full Privacy’ makes sure that guests enjoy optimal privacy, thanks to a new sliding door allowing them to create a totally enclosed space, concealed from other passengers in the cabin. In order to further accentuate this sense of privacy, the seats located in the center of the cabin are equipped with a central panel that can be lowered, leaving the customers with the option to create a shared convivial space where they can interact with each other.
Premium Economy and Economy characteristics
In the Premium Economy cabin, Air France has installed its latest recliner-type seat model, while further improving its comfort. The seat has a 124-degree recline, and a widened back to provide comfort and privacy. Meanwhile, each seat offers 96 cm of legroom. The cushions have been redesigned and the navy blue herringbone fabric adds further softness. In addition, a new noise-reducing audio headset is integrated into the seat and is easy to use at any time during the flight. The seat also features several electric sockets, including USB A and C ports. In the Economy cabin, each seat is 43 cm wide, offering a 119-degree recline and 79 cm of legroom. The backrest is ergonomically designed for reinforced lateral support. It is also equipped with a USB A port.
The seats in both cabins are equipped with a wide 13.3-inch 4K High-Definition screen with Bluetooth connection, ideal for enjoying over 1,000 hours of on-demand entertainment.
