Brooklyn-based textile artist Shadé Akanbi has been known to reinterpret indigenous designs, namely those reflective of her native Nigeria or myriad travels abroad. In her new collection with Chasing Paper, the artist and creative director of apparel brand Printed Pattern People brings her graphic flair to five memorable motifs.
