Humbert & Poyet x Nobilis

In the 1920s, writers and artists like F. Scott Fitzgerald and Pablo Picasso flocked to Côte d’Azur. Capturing the allure of that carefree era on France’s Mediterranean coast is Villa Riviera, a range of sofas and armchairs designed by Paris- and Monaco-based studio Humbert & Poyet and swathed in Nobilis fabrics flaunting Art Deco arcs, scrolls, and stripes in muted tones of blue, saffron, rust, and almond green. Californie—with its brown-stained or white-lacquered Iroko wood legs—is ideal for a sunny terrace. Juan, Roquebrune, and Champfleury—bolstered by solid walnut—infuse living spaces with retro glamour.

Hera Ford x Schumacher

Graceful blooms, originally rendered in charcoal, define artist Hera Ford’s textiles and wallpapers for Schumacher. Through the three prints—Come Back as a Flower, Orchids Have Dreams, and Close Your Eyes and Remember—Ford, a 2020 graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, wanted to celebrate the history of her grandmother, who developed a deep love for nature raised on the Mississippi sharecropping plantation owned by her parents. Ford’s drawings also take cues from botanical illustrations made by women in the 17th and 18th centuries, and they highlight smudges and subtle shifts in color that lend them an organic feel.

Ann Demeulemeester x Serax

Ann Demuelemeester, one of the legendary Antwerp Six, has already created tableware for Serax. Now—alongisde her husband and longtime artistic partner, photographer Patrick Robyn—Demuelemeester has brought her fashion savvy to a comprehensive range of furniture for the Belgian design brand. Melding linen, oak, wool, velvet, and canvas as well as squares, rectangles, circles, triangles, and crosses, the 15 different lines run the gamut from the black-fringed Frin ottoman and deep-seated Ono sofa to the glossy dark tulip wood Taka bench and slim and curving Elé chair. Timeless black-and-white offerings are balanced with bursts of tangerine, moss green, and pale pink.
